sorry about the word "racing"i had to write it

i'm going to get rid off all the interior part and i already did half of it done.anyway i don't want the cursed automatic seat belt anymore, i want to buy 4 point racing seat belt.

This's pretty important because i don't want to fly through the front window just in case the accident happens to me.

what's the best. the best. the best AND affordable 4 point seat belt?

2 point will go to each side of the seat (fatory drilled hole), another 2 point will go to where the original back seatbelt was bolted in.

I use a simpson 5 point harness. I rolled 3 times and was fine. Im pretty sure I got lucky though, but the harness kept me in the seat!

I don't think you should cheap out on a seat belt that will be saying your life. Are you putting in a cage or harness/roll bar?

well roll bar so you dont die in the rollover + everything else means you will be spending more than that

what it basically comes down to is how much is your life worth to you, because thats what the expense is here

Well im getting a custom made roll bar and im paying well for that. I just dont understand paying $800 for green takara or whatever seat belts. They are all the same unless you get cam locks... which i DONT want.

I just want a 4 point black harness. Im getting it ONLY because of the door mod with the convertible and i would feel safer with harnesses over the roll bar than the "ghetto" rigged belts i have now. Im not doing hardcore driving in the vert...

you do relize you cant mount the belts to the stock rear seatbelt locations. That will put the belts at to much of a low angle, you want them to be at a almost 90 degree angle with the seat....

you want the belt coming off the back of the seat to be as close to perpendicular to your spine

PLEASE get a 5 or 6 pt belt.

With no sub strap on a 4 pt--the belts will ride up and can cause internal injury. The Sub strap keeps the lap belts on your pelvic area (pelvic bones)

The 2 inch belts have actually been found to be better for a lap belt. You will see more of these in the near future in racing.

Also--IF you are installing a harness, you really should only do it if you have a rollbar--with a cross brace to install the belts to.

There are many SFI / FIA approved belts under $100 per set.

if you mount them to where the seatbelt retractors are instead of the floor buckles, its fine. p.s. you can see it in my sig slightly
