I was down at my ex's house playing the PS2 and I got to play that Vice City game. Although Alan plays it all the time b/c its his, he said I was 2nd best at the game.....b/c I beat up some of the cars with the bat, ran from the cops, etc etc......the game to me is Cool! Wish I had a PS2.

Yes, Vice City is addicting! I stayed down at his house for like couple hours before I left. :pface

I also heard by him that Red Faction II was good as well.

vice city.. 1) its the best game made for PS2 besides maby GT32) it might be banned from the US in the next few months so that means it might be worth somthing down the road..

I only have 2 games for my PS2.- Marvel vs Capcom 2- Tokyo Extreme Racer 0I might buy Need for Speed 2, cause it's so damn amazing... But FFX is definitely on my list to buy next.

There's so many good games for PS2, but only a few are keepers.

johnpoppy: FF7 was the best one!

you won't like it if you rent it. it takes several hours to get into the good stuff. the beginning is like 3 days of movies and talking and it really started to tick me off as i thought the whole game must be like this. but all it's doing is setting up a killer story! once you finally get full control you'll be glad.

right now i'm playing Suikoden III and Lord of the Rings Two towers.Medal of HOnor Front line was pretty good too.

Buy alot of PS1 games if you haven't played them before.

- Tenchu: Stealth Assassins- All of the Final Fantasies- Metal Gear Solid- Gran Turismo 2

They're all very good, and very very cheap to buy! You can get all of the above titles for $20 Canadian.

gta vice city is better than gta 3, but it still lacks a little, fun as hell though. Too many damn cops in vice city :( Metal gear solid 2 is badass It's just as, if not more, addicting as gta vice city. If you haven't played metal gear soild you should buy and play it too, or you could read the story on part two.

I played for two hours straight, and must have actually been "playing" for 15 or 20 mins. I put that game down and haven't picked it up since. Maybe I'll give it another whirl though.

Blink, pick up Devil May Cry ($20US), its like Resident Evil but with less puzzles and more f**king sh** up. Its great, you rock two handguns and a sword...unlimited ammo, and thats what you start with.

But as far as your list goes, get Vice City because it is hours of addictive fun, killing, drugs, weapons, 80s music....nuts.

Baldur's Gate sucks...the only good part is the first half an hour you play, which is senseless hacking and slashing and gets boring quick. Vice City rocks, but the game to get is LOTR:Two Towers....omg, that game is awesome.

Baldurs Gate doesn't suck, i think it's amazing.

LOTR: Two Towers is fun, but for $70+ it's lacking in the replay value. I passed it the second night i had it and haven't had the desire to re-rent it.

GTA vice city is great. It can get old quickly if you just kill people. Do the objectives and it should be pretty fun.

$70 :eyecrazy I bet it hurts to sit down now doesn't it?

I got it for christmas and I thought it would be better then it is. I guess hack and slash games are too simple and plain.

Drifter,RPG's aren't for everyone that's why you didn't like it. I've played tons of RPG's and all the Baldur's Gates on PC and loved every minute of it...all 4,387,922 minutes of it.

My GF just got me Vice City today and I played it for about 15 minutes before going into work. So far the acting is much better then GTA III and they are working the 80's theme real well.

I've also been playing Suikoden III, not as pretty looking as FFX but so far it seems to have a good story and an interesting format for a RPG.

I love RPG's! I've played through every Final Fantasy, except for #10.Theres maybe 2 or 3 RPG's that I haven't beaten on Playstation before I move onto the PS2 ones.Dragon Warrior is one I still need to play, but I don't know if I have time for another 100 hour game :(Growing up is the worst!!

For people that love a great story, and alot of fast paced action, try Vagrant Story for PS1.

Dragon Warrior? The only DW's I ever played were on the original NES. I think they had 1-6 on that. That was my first encounter with rpg's and was hooked forever. The NES DW's must have been the longest rpg's in history!

I also got a PS2 for Christmas and I got Soul Reaver 2 with it. I've been waiting for about a year to play that game. SR1 leaves you with a to be continued, so I was quite pleased to pick the story back up. Oh and I just got Twisted Metal Black, haven't played it yet though...
