Ok guys i have bought a 89 240sx, but found out later that the rust is just too much to cut and weld. So now i have found a auto 93 240sx for $1000 :naughty: , has little rust spots and also the motor is a 92 kade but it has lost compression in the 4th cylinder. So what would be easier to swap the kae into the 93 and put a dohc head on it or fix up the 4th cylinder and make the auto to a manual swap??/

And also what could cause the compression to be lost?? A piston ring being blown or what??/

Most likely the cylinder is flooded or there is ring damage.

Shoot some oil in the bad cylinder and see if the number changes.

Fixing both cars if the cylinder has no compression due to ring failure is the same as swapping engines on the other car.

Yea but i want to keep the dohc but if its not going to work ill be fine with the sohc too. Also my friends were towing the car over here today from Harrisburg, its like 2-3 hours away. And they said it caught fire  , he said the trans seized up. Could that any problems to the engine and also what could cause it to seize up?
