which one to turbo ???

Ok well im going ka-t and I have 2 motors that I can useI have my ka that’s currently in my car, 278 thousand miles, runs just about every day, and good every things there.

and there Is the ka from my parts car, its got 148 thousand miles and hasent run in 2 ½ years , a couple of exhaust manifold studs are broke and isn’t in the greatest of shape, and is not clean

both have timing chain rattle, I don’t know which one would be better to do all the work to, I plan on new rods, pistons and such but I want a good base to start with.cmy moto

if your gonna go on boost i would go with the parts car because it has less miles and you can rebuild it slowly without giving up your daily drivers motor which you already know runs fine...

Slow build ups tend to be more reliable with less mistakes...

work on parts engine, drive car until engine is done.

Don't rush this. Overhaul the parts motor to stock specs and then turbo it.

Don't take chances on blowing up another KA when servicing it to insure optimal performance is such an easy no-brainer.

I voted boost the parts motor, but only if you are completely rebuilding it. If you want to throw boost at a motor and hope for the best use your reliable one cause I can guarantee there are hidden issues in the low mileage motor if it has been sitting in the elements uncovered like that

So you really think that 278k miles motor will hold up? I lol at that, i doubt the other one would either. You need to do some more research and rebuild one then boost.

yeah rebuild the parts motor.. get ur dukks in a row and then swap it in...

i said i would be rebuilding either motor from the ground up, i have another 240 and a sable to drive, so using my current one is no problem.

The intake on the second one seems to be a little restricted.
