Which Oilpan to use? RB26 or RB25

Im in a bit of a debacle right now. When I bought my RB26 I ordered an RB25 oil pan right away and did the modification. Only problem is it leaks a little and I think from the weld... My buddy has an RB26 too but he went the different route and just cut off the front diff off the stock RB26 Oil pan. He says I should go his route, and since Im having a bunch of stuff getting welded by my welder next week I figured I my as well get that modified.

I looked around on the forums and all posts are like 8 years old. Just seeing what everyones input is now days. FYI Im doing the swap in a 300zx.

Also isnt there a write-up on here somewhere about cutting the front diff.. I couldnt find it

Why don't you just fix your RB25 pan instead? Seems like the easiest route.

where did you find the write up on how to modify 25 pan cant find anything i know what has to be done just would like some picks
