I'm swapping my HID headlights out for LED, but I need to know which of these to connect to the red and black.
These are the wires that usually go into the ballast.

I think I might find my answer here: nicoclub.com/service-manual?fsm=QX4%2F2001%2FElectrical+System.pdf

EDIT: Hmmm, nothing yet.

Well I'm guessing white wasn't ground and green wasn't positive because I tried that and the light won't turn on. Tried swapping them around and it won't turn on so I guess I just f*** it.

Well neither of them are igniting a test bulb I hooked up. The test bulb worked directly against the battery. Looks like I'm using the wrong wires or something.

So I tested the wires again. Positive from battery to test bulb and white to test bulb works. So I think white is ground or negative or whatever.
Neg from battery to test bulb and green to test bulb does not work. So this leads me to believe something is wrong with the positive or green wire from the car.

This doesn't make sense though because I used the headlights this morning. They work, though they do turn off if I hit a bump. Turning them back on again would fix that.

If it turns off when you hit a bump then maybe it needs a bump with the test lamp, but since those colors don't match the wiring diagram in the FSM, I presume you're looking at the headlight subharness. Colors on that are determined by the vendor and not shown in the manual. The connector to the car should be 4 pins with Red/Yellow, Red/White, Red/Blue, and Black wires. R/Y and B will be for the low beams with R/Y being positive. Trace those out through the subharness and you should get to the correct signals. See EL-38 here:

Okay so all that happened was I just blew the fuse when I was being careless with the multimeter.
Green was positive and White was negative. I'm going out there to hook the next one up!
