I'm trying to decide which tires to get to replace my RSA's.

Of the tires often recommended on this forum do any of you have any opinion on which is most quiet.

I know you cant have max performance and quiet ride, but have any of you changed tires and noticed a significant decrease in tire noise.

I have seen posts that the Goodyear F1 is loud. Don't want any more road noise than i already have from the RSA.

Thanks in advance for any comments

I dont know if they are recommended, but I have some Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's and while there is still some trammling, they handle great and are fairly quiet. Not tires for rain though...

With these tires I can take a sharp right hand turn at 60mph like it is nothing.

My Kuhmo Platinums are very quiet. Check the reviews at tire rack.

I agree that the Yokohma S.Drive and the Michellin Pilots PS2 are excellent tires but theres one tire no one has really looked into which is the Nitto Invo's. From reading reviews they seem to the the best of both worlds. Excellent wet/dry traction with the quietness of a luxury car.

A BIG question is do you have 18's or 19's?

There are tons of different tires for the 18's with far less choices for he 19's.

If cost is a issue then the Yoko's sound like they are nice "bang for the buck" in terms of quiet and performance. The Kuhmo platinums also sound nice but also sound like they are a little soft and a little less responsive compared to performance oriented tires.

If you have 18's and cost isn't a issue, then Michelin Primacy MXV4 might be a good bet in terms of quiet, and ride quality along with good road feel. .

Outright performance with ok quietness then PS2's.

Considering cost, I'd be eyeing the Kuhmos or the Yoko S drives and they do come in 245/40/19.

Now that is a wicked looking tire. Does not look like it would be quiet...might be. Have not found any pricing on that yet...will keep looking.

As I recall, we have a review of this tire linked on our main site page ...

I definitely vote for the Michelin Primacy MXV4 - night and day compared to the OEM Goodyears. My dealer matched the Discount Tire price for me. I have an 06 M45 non-sport (18s).
