Hi,Visited autozone over the weekend and they no longer loan out the engine scanner.

I check out Kragen and they have quite a few OBD2 to choose from.Any recommendation regarding to which one to get? What are the difference between a $60 vs $250 ones?

Will getting the cheapest one be good enough?

I appreciate if someone can show where to get it for less but can get the job done.

thanks007

Personally i would just drive to autozone every time you had a code, how often do you think you'd use an OBDII scanner?

You've missed my initial email. Autozone no longer loan out the tool nor help you get the code.

Look for the post recommending the Harbor Freight one. Haven't used it, but it looks quite competent if if holds up.

In that case, I think what you need to find is a different Autozone, not an OBDII scanner.

You may find this thread helpful:zer...63679

It includes a link to the above mentioned Harbor Freight scanner.
