NGK BKR5E-11 (6953). Buy 6 at Advance Auto Parts online and use discount code P20 then pickup in-store for a total of $11.47 + tax. See FSM page MA-18 for instructions on changing spark plugs.

I'm fairly sure worn or fouled spark plugs can cause poor gas mileage, yes.

Old tired plugs will affect gas mileage.

I'd run whatever the owner's manual or FSM recommends. That's what was in it when the factory engineers determined
the ECU parameters on the dyno.

I bought the best NGK's I could afford: Iridium BKR5EIX-11. Totally agree with Chuck on whatever the FSM recommends would be fine, I dont ever plan on replacing the plugs again though so figured I would splurge.... Have not installed them yet. Also picked up a set of NGK plugs wires.
