Which muffler to buy???

Which muffler to buy???
I'm looking for suggestions on which muffler i should get for my 89 hatch. Theres a huge *** 4" muffler on there now, which is too loud for me. I don't want it that loud, so that's the 2nd thing I'm getting for my car. 1st is 180sx center panel thats almost on its way to my house. But anyway, let me know..thanks.

1) A good, inexpensive, somewhat quiet muffler is Magnaflow. I've had very good experience with them. Realize that a muffler will do NOTHING for performance and just cost money and sound cool.
2) Not trying to be mean, but your car isn't a 180SX. It's an 89' 240SX, probably in less than stellar shape. I suggest spending money on useful things first. Putting a 180SX tail garnish is very poseurish. If you had a CA18DET.......maybe.......

I heard that the new HKS silent Hi-Power are supposed to be very quiet. If you're looking for an exhaust that's not too loud, look for one that's resonated. That will help quiet things down. If you're looking for less noise, get a silencer too. Then again I've a GP Sports exhaust which is very loud, notably louder than the Apex N1. Also you might want to check your car out to see if it's still got a cat. Ha ha ha if that suckers gone, yeah it'll be really loud.

"poseurish" or not, I bought the center piece because I wanted it. If it sits in my garage until my car has a ca18det, oh well....who knows...maybe it will...
btw its actually in excellent shape for an 89, new paint, 3 quarter size dents..nothing else...as far as the engine goes, i still havent taken it somewhere as i've only had it for a few weeks. shoulda been the first thing to do, but i keep forgetting, oh well.
