91 240sxcan't stand the muffler noise anymore - was looking at a Pacesetter but have heard mixed reviews on the sound and improved power. I don't want to spend Apexi money...which is the best value for the money and keeps the "growl"?Any recommends on rear brake pads?

There's no easy answer to your questions. I'll say BRM because I think you're actally in the market for an exhaust, in which case, you want more that just the muffler. As far as brake pads are conserned, just about any aftermarket pad will stop you better than stock.

Avoid APC.

i have hawk hps street ones and they smeared onto my brake rotors at the track.. i think their limit is 700f or so..

get axxis ultimates, 1000f limit, especially if you autocross or drive on the track

if everyone could come on the boards and ask what product was best, we would all have the same mods, the other companies would go out of business and it would just make everything too damn easy. i agree with everyone on the HPS pads, great stopping power and made for the street. and if i were you i would save and buy a full catback instead of just a muffler (if it is the stock exhaust).
