In the SCCA if you were to swap your engine, you would be running with highly modified Supras, RX-7s, Corvettes, etc.
I only say this because as far as I can find, racing with the SCCA is the best way to get seat time.
This is true. I believe that as soon as you swap, you go to DSP which is a very competetive class (or course all of them really are pretty competetive). Of course it IS possible to be competetive in this class, but I usually see the SR's get stomped on just because of their competition. Now a fully built SR or RB with good suspension work and a GOOD DRIVER, can run with the Supra's, 7's, and Vettes, it just takes time, practice, and money. I plan to swap the RB25 and start out with JIC FLT-A2's and go up from there. I won't be competetive, but that isn't what matters to me right now, I just like to go out, have fun, and try to improve:pface
