Ok so my car has failed inspection and I need new motor mounts. Since I'm going to replace them I'm trying to figure out which ones to get, I'm leaning towards something stiffer than stock but I don't think I want the solid mounts just yet.
The car is my second car and eventually will be a project/track car.
Anyone have experience with the following and could give me some insight into how they perform/hold up over the long term?

Nismo mount are great. They are no too stiff and take alot of slop out of the drivetrain. Only prob is that they dont sag as much as the stock ones so your motor will sit about a 1/4 inch higher, so it might hit your strut bar. I have a DCsports strut bar and it doesn't hit.

I understand where you're coming from liquid_cool but I'm also not looking to build something that stiff or strong.
If it comes to the point where I'll be swapping the engine then I'll look at something like that right now I just want to pass inspection and still be able to drive the car everyday without getting my teeth rattled to hell

I'm using megan and they work fine. Very stiff and they make your car vibrate a lot. I actually like the vibration and they make your car sound better on the inside. No change outside of course, it's just that you can hear the vibrations of the car. They make it way more fun to drive.

have you actually tried filling the stock mounts?
I'm looking for something thats stronger (read: won't split apart) than stock, but still supple that I'm not rattling the hell out of my brain while driving it.

Unfortunately yes...at least the station I went to. I likely won't take it back there but while I'm working on the car I might as well replace some stuff under there you know? besides, after running on 3 cyl for a year I'm sure my mounts are beat to crap.
My Actual list of broken items is as follows:
both motor mounts splitPassenger side bellows boot split, possible PS rack leakBoth front radial arm bushings splitDrivers side tie rod is loose
All of these things seem like it wouldn't be too bad to fix but I don't know for sure as I've never actually done it. I'd say a weekend of working on the car I would be able to fix it all but its just finding a free weekend to do it.

I have megan mounts on mine. They didn't make that big of a difference other then raise the motor height a bit. I had them and front tension rods done at the same time so it quit knocking every time I stopped real fast.
