I saw many folks replace all kinds of thing on their rogue, either aftermarket or some "personal options", which makes the car more fancy and functional. However, who can tell how we leverage without any warrenty concern?

The exclusions are clearly stated in the warranty manual that came with your Rogue. Here is a direct link to the online version:

Canada: http://nissan.ca/owners/warranty/en/index.htmlUSA: http://www.nissanusa.com/apps/techpubs

Quote »This warranty does not cover damage, failures or corrosionresulting from:- Alteration, tampering or improper repair.- Installation of non-Nissan approved accessories orcomponents.- Improper installation of any Nissan approved oraftermarket accessory or component.[/quote]Nissan will not automatically 'void' your warranty just because you added some accessories to your car. They will however deny warranty coverage if they determine that the accessory caused the damage.

Examples of things that could be denied warranty coverage:

- You add chrome trim and it rubs through the paint and causes rust to form.- You add very large wheels and tires and the extra weight causes the suspension to wear out or a wheel bearing to fail.- You add a very high powered car stereo and the extra electrical load causes the alternator to overheat and fail.

Even OEM Nissan accessories are not exempt from this:

- You improperly install the Nissan trunk spoiler and it comes loose causing damage to the paint.

IMHO, choose your accessories wisely, ensure they are good quality, and have them professionally installed if necessary.

Also... if you add Daytime Running Lights, Xenons Headlights or Fog Lights, LED Tail Lamps, Backup sensors, or any other device that requires you to splice into the vehicles electrical system and it frys the electrical system or damages a computer... and it won't be repaired under the warranty.
