Just do the Z32 maf. Common and supported by all major standalone / piggyback systems.

If I can, I might try to go twin turbo supra maf. I run a blow-through setup, and the maf is between my blowoff valve and throttle body, so it tends to get a lot of turbulence. I hear the supra maf can handle that a lot better then a Z32. Of course, this is all up to availability

I read somewhere probably on NICO that if your only going for like 250-300HP Thats it would be better to use a cobra or N60 MAF because youll use more resolution of the MAF? and it might aid in a little easier tuning? Is there any validity to that or was someone just blowing smoke. Sorry for off-topic post.

Thats def on topic, and I was wondering the same thing myself. If we plan on having 300hp at THE MOST, is it better to go with the N60?

I was gonna raise the same issue. Most (all?) Nissan MAFs read 0-5 volts. Resolution is airflow per volt. Resolution decreases as total measurable airflow increases: the stock MAF has highest resolution, followed by N60, and N62 has the lowest. In my mind, the resolution is important as well as total airflow.

The SAFC can use an N60 MAF too...

YaY i contributed something worthwile for once. I know JWT tune can read for Cobra maf... And as IwannaS15 said SAFC can read the N6O Im sure ENTHLAPY can tune for any..not sure though. (And im not even sure he is still doing KA tunes anymore havent heard anything about it for awhile. But thats another topic).... Still waiting for one of the "gurus" to contribute to this.

Enthalpy tunes for the N60 too. But only with 370cc or 480cc injectors (hwich makes sense).

This is a trick question. The best MAF upgrade is no MAF! It's all about MAP sensor!

Well i guess MAP could be considered the best option, but this is what I dont understand... Yea a MAP is super adjustable, and you control all sorts of parimeters etc.. Thats awesome if your running say 100 or 116 octane race gas or something (something stable, and you know what your getting for the most part) But i don't see how a MAP is better on a daily driven car, that has to deal with drastic temp change, and the possibility of crummy gas??? Im probably just dont understand MAP systems enough, and my question im sure has been covered. But thats just going on what I "think" I know

Well. I have 370cc injectorsWhat maf do I need so I dont need any SAFC?Will be great to have some sort of table where you can check MAF/injectors/aprox HP limitIEstock MAF (part number) 270cc 250 limit......

I think the N60 works perfectly with 370cc injectors.

You will need an SAFC (or retuned ECU) because of the 370 injectors. The 370's max out around 250whp and the stock MAF reaches its limit around the same point.

Ok, here is my setupJWT programmed for stock MAF and 370cc inj.SAFC for fine tunningHow I can raise my "Horsepower flow limit" without retunning my ECU.I have the stock ECU toofor a 93Following this thread, I can then upgrade to a N60 maf- 370cc inj without using the JWT.But what if I use the JWT and upgrade the MAF?Should I need to trim down (or up) via SAFC to compensate?

You should stick to a MAFS if you aren't ready to put some time into your car.

You have to see that using a MAP based system, you are telling the ECU how much fuel to dump based on what pressure it is seeing. As anyone knows, on a cold night, you may see more actual airflow at a given pressure level.

A MAF system will automatically compensate for stuff like that..

I was under the assumption that most MAP based systems also run an intake air temp sensor. Stock MAP systems anyway... I don't know about aftermarket.

Yes, you could ditch the ECU and run a N60 and 370's with the SAFC. But that wouldn't raise your power potential very much. The 370's are only good for about 250whp. Upgrading to bigger injectors and 'bigger' MAF would up your power potential.

Not sure if you'd really want to ditch the JWT though. Its possible to run the JWT and use the SAFC to run a different MAF and bigger injectors. I dont know the details on such a setuo

so can it be confirmed that a N60 MAF with 370cc injectors well work perfectly?? Also, are maxima MAF's N60's as well?

Thanks, George

Yes, the N60 and the 370's are a good comboa and yes the Max came with the N60. Make sure to get the maf plug as well.

so for example then, if a drop in 370's and the N60, the car will run smoothly for the most part? So all is needed is a SAFC for minor adjustments?

Thanks, George

If you swap the MAF, Injectors or both you'll need a SAFCII or similar piggyback or ROM TUNE or any of the other various tuning options. You can't change anything from stock form without somthing to tune with. The stock ECU will not recognize the N60 MAF without a piggyback. The 370cc injectors are far to big for the stock ECU to control.

If you want cheap and easy, buy a 8:1 FMU and run no more then 8 PSI of boost. No tuning required...

i have similar setup: T25, 370cc, SAFC, 255lph, FMIC...at idle u drop fuel -27% and raise the fuel (-24% for example) into more throttle...

real fast, whats the N60 and N62 MAF come out of?? I have a Q45, SR MAF to choose from and im trying to figure which is the SR, and which is better for my power goal, im looking at 13psi and 250whp or so...should i do the SR or Q45 to be safe??
