I am getting the jwt ecu and I was wondering if theres any benefits going with the Cobra Maf over the Z32 MAF. Does it matter or not? Any ideas? because I can get the cobra maf for $100 less.

Taking price out of the picture

Z32 maf will be easier to install

But the cobra maf is better because it has a higher resolution i.e. it is more accurate

Z32 MAF will flow more HP and it doesn't require a re-worked ECU, such as the cobra MAF.

umm 450hp vs 350hp...unless he is running over 350hp he doesn’t need a Z32maf, the cobra one will be more accurate.

How so? The Z32 MAF will still need to be compensated for in some way. The voltage range should be about the same as the stock MAF, but it should output a higher voltage for a given airflow reading. The ECU will either need to be piggy-backed or reprogrammed to scale this down.

Also, the Z32 MAF will need an adaptor plate to work with a normal style filter. You could spend 40 bucks and make one like I did (fool that I am) or order JUST the adapter from somewhere, I know IAP has them but I dont know who else.

well the Z32 supports over 500 hp... Its a nissan product. But you still have to get the plug and rewire. They are anywhere from 65-150 dollars used. the cobra mafs I don't know that much about.

The cobra maf can be used up to 350 with 50lb injectors with no subtractor circuit. After the 350 hp mark--the maf maxes out. Its no extra charge to use the sub circuit i believe with 72 lb injs. The z32 maf will support 550 in its stock form--but either way--youll have to have an ecu program for them. I have a cobra maf for sale for 75 bucks plus shipping if you want it.
