I know I will probably get roasted for this but I'm just confused on which springs to but on my daughters 08 coupe. I want to lower it but here in Virginia the roads aren't the best and I dont want her tearing stuff up. I've also read about certain springs making noise. So here goes the BIG can of worms. Do all springs lower about the same amount and which ones do I need to avoid that make noise.

No worries, it's a friendly environment here most of the time. We make sure of it.

First things first, is your daughter's A/C 2.5 or 3.5?

I would go with Tein S.Tech lowering springs.

If you want to check out other springs, here's a list of what other options exist for our cars. But Tein are probably your best best

I have eibachs on mine and there is no noise. it makes the car handle a lot better however my front spring snapped after 2.5 years... I live in Canada and salt is a b**** that may be the reason for the premature failure, eibach did however send me a new set for free. but i had to pay to get them installed again..

Eibach is awesome with their customer service. To replace a wear and tear item is amazing to me

Keep in mind that mating lowering springs to OEM struts/shocks isn't the wisest action to take. As the spring rate of the lowering spring will cause the OEM struts/shocks to prematurely wear out. If you're willing to take this chance --- just go with the brand of your choice. Just ensure the springs you purchase come with rubber sleeve on the last two coils to reduce noise under compression. If they don't you should be able to purchase these coil sleeves at the likes of Autozone, etc. :yesnod
