check into some teins and some eibachs. i know eibach has some that'll do like 1.4 or something similar. i was going to buy em back in CT.

Just save up your money until you get the coiovers, there is no sense in doing the work twice. And if you just want to ignore my opinion and get springs anyway, I'm taking an extremely wild guess here, but the little flashing red button that says search in the upper right hand corner of your screen probally has your answer

they have some uber JDM lowering coilovers on ebay for 70 bucks with shipping. try em out and let us know how they work. also, let us know if your car hits the ground when they snap. it'd be pretty ultimate.

Behold! The Wheel/Tire/Suspension forum has stickied FAQ's for you to use!

zerothread?id=11638 (scroll down to find springs)

My word of advice: stay away from sportlines and you'll be fine--you don't need coilovers on a daily driver, contrary to popular belief.

I personally like the drop and stance tien s- techs give. Check them out!

Yes, they are bad primarily because they are progressively rated (as in the spring rates change), w/ such a low drop and underdampened shocks like the KYB's, you'll have blown shocks in a year or so. Not worth it. There are TONS of better springs out there, Tein, RS*R, Suspension Techniques, and H&R namely. Believe me, I used to have them, then i researched and switched.

If I had to go with springs again, I'd look into H&R or RS*R race springs. S-Techs are becoming too soft and I have my shocks on stiffest rebound. Also, you might want a linear spring for predictabilitiy as opposed to progressive springs that become stiffer.

heystock spring is rated 2kgbut some of springs like Megan is like 7kgit's 3.5 times stiffer right? then it will blow up the shock right?so, to not blow up my stock shocks, i should get spring that closer to stock rate.

am i going correct way?

edit: i was going to get tein cuz it's cheapest i could find. Spring is just for temporary like 4~5 months, i wish i could find used one.

If they're going to be temporary I wouldn't even bother buying and installing springs...just a waste of your time and money.

Tokico HPs and Sportlines seem to be a popular choice.... aside from the numerous coilovers.

kyb agx + eibach pro is popular

a cheaper less aggressive option is gr-2 + tein s-techs.

i don't like tokico period... lots of people i know blew em using tokico springs also in a very short period of time just daily driving also...

koni yellows are always ownage but pretty $$.

these shock spring setups won't really allow you to drop a significant amount. stock 240 wheel gap is more than lots of suvs... just like stock 240s wheel fitment is ....

for me it's either keep it stock or go kts or something.

Yes, you'll net some negative camber up front and a bit in the rear. If you want to autox then its a blessing in disguise but you might want to get an alignment to make sure everything is going straight.
