I would like to know if there is a differnce in accuracy between the Nissan Consult and the Laptop Consult. I have the laptop consult but I don't feel it is accurate enough.

Here are some readings with the Laptop Consult:

.86 volts A/T temp sensor after 3 hour highway drive with B&M A/T cooler.

AAC Valve: turning steering wheel max 34 min 10 Warmed up idle

MAF 1.17---1..22 Warmed up idle

Jnjector timming 1.99---2.19 at warmed idle

TPS: .42-.44 volts closed warmed up thorttle.

So is the above normal?

Is it normal to see MAF and TPS voltage fluctuate?

What was the exact temperature of the air flowing into MAF, the density of air barometeric pressure, wgat was the exact humidity flowing into MAF.What was the exact rpm of engine?

Both Consults just report what the ecu is sending out to any external reading device.

Idle is preprogrammed to maintain rpm.

MAF accuracy is speced at +- 3% but may be worse at low flows like idle and cruise since everything depends on O2 switch points and time between rich, lean, rich on both sides.

The Consult reports injectors for each bank.

All the numbers say to me is that the mixture has changed from one value to a richer value by roughly 10%.

Without an accurate coolant temperature I would guess the ecu has seen above 195>200F and has invoked the beginning of protective summer overheat program which richens the mixture to protect cats.

I am sorry but I don't have the humidity for that day but I can tell you the temprature outside was around 80*F.

The RPM's at warm idle jump from 638-725

And the engine temp was 196*F, So I will flush the coolant several times after seeing one of Berners collant hoses.

725/638 rpms is a 13.6% rpm change so one would expect a 13.6% MAF change.

A 11F air temperature change will change the MAF 3.3%
