Which is better? Full ac (rancho or bilstein?) kit, or full ome kit.

Ok, in your opinions, which is better. ac or ome. Also, i saw that ac's website stated that the kit REQUIRED aftermarket wheels with an offset of 3.75 negative backset. Is this actually required and is it required on both the ac and ome kits? Also, on the ome's, there is an option on the rear shocks of either 1/99 or 2/99+. What is the difference? And who has the hard and who has the medium? Ride quality difference?

Well there is a lot of opinons out there but mines just one of them I have the OME HD setup with 35mm spacer the rides a bit stiff but you get used to it and the handling is unbelieveable on and off road and I have only broke one axle and it wasn't from playing it was when I put it back together. Both setups are different in size and type the AC lifts are coils only but the OME is coils out back and coils and a 9/16" spacer and requires no major mods NO COMPLAINTS HERE OME all the way.

As far as shocks I went w/KYB struts and Ranchos in the rear simply cuz it was cheaper but it you have the money go bilstein ranchos just suck +

Hell Ya are you stock? I'm pretty much leave my schedule open cuz i like to disapear from time to time. Except when i am in class. I'll let you get a good look at my rig and I'm pretty much a pro when it come to putting on the struts. I have took mine apart 2 many times I can almost do it blindfolded!!![email protected]

AC coils will give you about 1-1.25" more lift over them OME. I love my AC lift coils. But whatever you do, just buy the coils. You can find the struts & springs elsewhere cheaper.

As for struts there's nothing better than KYB GR2's & for shocks go with Bilsteins in the rear (I have Rancho & I've already destroyed one & their customer service sucks a**)

Roger that!!! I hate my rancho shocks but they are so easy to get and replace cheap. yes go w/the KYB G-R2 struts I had ranchos on earlier I hit a rock a little hard and completly destroyed my new strut and strut mounts. went with the KYB's and never had any issues since

I have never had the AC coils but I heard good things about em but they don't make em in HD models I wish they did I would buy em just to see the difference. but OME w/ a 35mm spacer is plenty

Really happy wth the OME setup I have. Added a 35mm SnakeRacing strut spacer too. Running KYB-GR2 and the OME Shocks. Think I might try the OME struts next.

How are those OME struts doing for ya? I was intrested cuz I was about 1 click away from getting some but the price w/shipping almost made me s***.

Has anyone ever had both and give a good comparison on the strut scene.I have had Ranchos like i said above and will never recomend the struts. by comparison to the KYB's, the KYB's so far are unbelieveable and handling alone changed like night and day.

Ok, so, basically the consensus i am getting here is use kyb gr-2 up front with ac coils and bilstein shocks in the back. What model bilstein tho? and what type of spacers would be required for the stock 17in wheels?

are you talkin about strut spacers or wheel spacers??if your talkin about wheel spacers I run 4.5" backspace w/ absolutly no rubbin so what ever the difference is. I don't have stock wheels anymore so I can't tell you what size you need but before I got my rims I ran my stockers for a while with no problems until i went to 32" MT's . I would think that a 1" spacer would be plenty depending on how wide you run your tires. GOOD LUCK if you have any ? almost anybody can answer em.

SEND PICS when your done!
