Recently, I've seen a few folks making comparisons between the 240sx and other cars, and then asking the 240sx board members which is better.
C'mon, people. What answer are you expecting?

I'm not saying the S2000 sucks by any stretch, but c'mon, it's freaking overpriced and overrated. I HAVE driven one and while it handles like a dream and shifts great, there's just not the power there that a supposed sports car of that price range should have. I guess I put alot of emphasis on pricing here because well, that's reality. With mid 35 grand, you can buy an STi, EVO, G35, 350Z...or build your own machine for less and absolutely decimate the S2000.
Yes, it's a pretty good car, and I do like it, but it far from "owns" a 240.![]()
Well, zombieman, for normal day to day driving; torque rules! I used to have a Nissan Sentra SE, sure the Honda Civic SI had more horsepower 160 vs. 140, however I never lost a race to one on the street, since I have more torque than they have. While I raced several at the track too, there is one at the track that got me by 0.1 seconds, he had a more stripped out interior than me! lol I usually don't go more than 5-10 mph over the speed limit, so on the street; torque rules! Keep in mind that they did a test with the S2000 where they dropped the clutch at 5500 rpms and shifted at 5500 rpms which resulted in a 0-60 time of 13 SECONDS! Most S2000 owners will not drop there clutch near redline for normal day to day driving, even when racing, so an average S13/S14 driver would have a good chance beating an average S2000 to say 45 mph. Having more horsepower at a very high rpm is useless unless you can get to that rev range! It takes a very skilled (or abusive) driver to get the most out an S2000. I have great satisfaction that my S13 gets better gas mileage, has a better torque curve, is quicker around town, cost less (for the car!) than what it would cost to insure the S2000 for a year, and for less than $500 faster than an S2000!! Oh yeah, my brother has an S2000 and he has got it stolen once and the seats stolen and top slashed too! Theft magnet!zombieman wrote:it's true that a s2000 owns a 240sx...the 240 after all came with a ka24 having only 155 hp for the dual overhead model compare to a 240 hp motor....
