Atleast he finally gives an intelligent response, man oh man red! lolz, this kid is too much for me sometimes on AIM, but yea he is right, unless you plan on going through some real deep water, it really is not necessary, but if you are unsure, be safe and get it, it is not too much.CodeRed wrote:bypass valve, dont need it unless u plan on driving in water deeper then the intake is off the ground it can get wet, just not submerged!
If you live in a city that's prone to flooding or receive a lot of rain a year, it would be a wise idea. You'll never know when a little bit of high water may sneak up on you in these situations. If not, don't worry about wasting the money. As far as a difference between intakes, they will be virtually the same design. Just think of an exhaust pipe, bent to a certain shape, and connected to the throttle body. Virtually all intakes will have this exact same design. There have been some companies who thread the inside of the intake. They claim this swirls the air and packs more into the pipe.KimberKenobi wrote:Wayne, What are your thoughts on the bypass valve?
