whats better for an 08 2.5 a/c ? cold air intake or short ram? i'm not sure what the difference is between the two? also, if one is hot air and the other is cold air, if i dont have an intercooler, will my engine overheat easier with a hot air intake?

um, hot air intake? loldo some research on that my friend.

I have a K&N in my SRT8 Jeep and an Injen Race Division (RD) Series CAI (cold air intake) for my 2.5 Altima. I'd much rather have put an Injen product in my Jeep than a K&N.

With my Altima, I get a nice throaty engine sound that combines nicely with my Stillen exhaust. I'd try the Injen CAI. It was around $290 from Stillen.

Let us know what you decide on.

my bad on the hot air someone was making a joke and i didnt get it lol i'm just getting into this whole modding car stuff and had no clue lmao i thought about getting the injen but ive also heard alot of good stuff about fujita which is a bit cheaper but i still don't understand the difference between the cold air intake and the short ram intake

There arent any CAIs for the coupe... K&N is coming out with one but i dont think its hit the streets yet and its gonna tip the scales at around $300...

I personallly have the 2.5 with the fujita... why? because its the cheapest one around and the difference between them is something like the difference between 1080p and 1080i or the difference btwn hd dvds and blue ray... something thats essentially the same...

All HP gains claimed by the intakes are somewhat "hot air" and what you should expect from a WAI (warm air intake, no one wants a HAI lol) is a mean badass sound... you may notice an increasein performance, you may not.

I got my fujita on ebay for $150 delivered.

Also, it was only a year ago i was "green" like you and had no idea what i was doing or where to look, and now im a moderator on the most awesome nissan site on the net. You will learn quickly... Why? Because we are here to help! And the answers are all here! (or we are working on them)...

So from HIDs, to interior LEDs to intake and exhaust... even turbos... look around here and you will be satisfied... and if its not covered, bring it up!

ok i get ya now dude, thanks for the info lbc it makes everything a bit clearer now lol right now my 2.5 s is stock except for my sub i threw in the back i ordered a pair of eyelids from that curtis dude next ima work on tint then those rims i posted a while back katana cr7 i think is what they were called my altima is radiant silver so they will look nice on that car thanks again man

Eyelids from curtis? you mean the fiberglass eyelids off ebay? or vinyl overlays?

the fiberglass eyelids from ebay, his name is curtis something? i found out about them from somewhere on these forums nissan is trying to charge me 60 bucks for a pint of k12 radiant silver paint tho i have to put a clear coat on them after that dries tho right? i dont want it to fade

Make sure you use flex agent.. why not have someone else paint em?!

i probably will have someone else paint them for me i have a friend at nissans body shop who has always been willing to help me out ill call him tomorrow after work also i read something you posted about disconnecting the amber strip on your headlight? was the light bleeding through your eyelids? would i need to have that done as well? as i said before im more concerned about looks right now rather than performance seeing how performance is more expensive after i get my rims , tint and eyelids on then ill work on intake and exhausti'm for sure wanting the nismo exhaust tho i loved the sound it had on my 04 sentra se-r

k you dont happen to have a tutorial on how to do that do you? i saw one on how to take the bulbs out is that what you mean? or is there a cable i unhook?i didnt see one on here and thanks bout the ebay tip leeparts wanted 687 to ship the exhaust to my door
