I'm new to turbos and Nissans. Bare with me.

I'm aiming for 300hp at the wheels on my redtop sr20det.I have a gt2871r turbo. (the .86 model, not the .63) with an hks adjustable wastegate and 3" megan downpipe. Plus I have a greddy intake mani.

I'm getting a walbro 255 pump and 3" exhaust. From what I've gathered, I will need 550cc injectors. Right?

What less expensive options are there for me? What do most people use? I want reliability but don't necessarily have to have the best thing out there. Are there any stock injectors that will work?

In other words, what's my best bang for the buck? Thanks.

well from most of what i have researched when i was thinking on going sr , rb and jz, it seems that you want to match or be slightly greater then the hp your going to be running.

Example: if 440 injectors, good for 440hp(not recommended though) if 550 inj, good for 550hp...etc.etc,

but most that ive learned is just never go under, have your injectors slighty more then your hp.

so 440cc would be great for a 300whp car.

i would NEVER go that small for those power levels, remember you NEVER want to work your injectors to the max duty cycle, if i wanted 350hp i would use at least 550cc injectors, im finishing up piecing together my KA-T and ive decided that im gonna run 72lb. MSD style injectors(top feed) and at the moment i want 375-400 whp

on a budget and not much higher than 300hp i would use the 440's, Subarus make near 300(or claim to) on those injectors

i do believe i said and quote"if 440 injectors, good for 440hp(not recommended though)"

not reccommended.

just so were clear that i didnt say to do that i was just saying, and like i said,

440 would be good for 300whp, and if he wanted to go higher, say arond 400whp, then i`d jump up to the 550cc`s.

not meaning to sound like an @$s but if you would have read what i said clearly.

What year imprezas did the 440's come on? And are they 440's on the WRX models or only the STI versions? Also, will there be any sort of different resistor box I will need? Or is it as simple as just drop them in and splice the wires in?

Will these work?http://cgi.ebay.com/SUBARU-IMP...l1177

o_O

Or how about 450cc DSM bluetops? I have a set of those already.

the DSM injectors should work.....with a top feed fuel rail...about $80, and a resistor pack, $50-70...

In that case, it would be cheaper to go with the subarus if they are plug and play (splice & play).

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I know there are differences in injectors like saturated and unsaturated and then there are different impedances or something... Basically, I want ones that I can just drop in as a direct replacement and I can splice the wires if need be.
