2006 M35x (AWD) Graphite Gray (Diamond Graphite?) w/ dark gray interior, rosewood, tech & journey packages, 30k miles, have had for 9 days, luvin it! Its our first luxury car. Gets 22-24 mpg if you keep foot off gas - otherwise 18-20 mpg if you drive like a teenager. No pics yet - looks just like stock. Test drove (and considered) Acura RL and Lexus (G300?) - not as nice. Once I drove the M I was hooked. Nicely balance car, pulls tight corner/high g's, haven't been able to make it slide yet - doesn't push the front like the RL did. Drives a lot like a mid-engine. Love the rear-view, prevents squashing the kids. Suggest keeping the lane departure warning on while learning all the gadgets. Adaptive cruise control is too cool, but you can pick up a little more mpg driving yourself or using regular cruise, as usually the idiot ahead of you surges a lot, and the dang car matches every accel/brake motion perfectly...yikes!
New to forum - all the other posts are great, and some of the tips are really useful. Other rigs: Still have a 1999 F350 diesel crew cab dually, but only use 2x per year for towing big stuff. Our 2000 Expedition still runs good, but gets only 13mpg, so will likely use only when DEEP snow (happens occasionally here in Tacoma) or when we need to haul "stuff". Also have 1991 Acura Legend - for the teens to drive - nice car for its day, and still fun to drive (like a hi-powered go-cart).
