I have 2 ca heads, so i have 32 hydrolic lifters. one set of 16 are kinda easy to squeeze. The other set are harder. which should i use. Im assuming to use the harder ones. But just makeing sure. thanks

I'd have them stripped and cleaned out first myself, but if you don't do this, use the ones that can be compressed easily (a good indication they are not sticky)

I cleaned mine by soaking them in acetone IIRC (might have been some other crazy chemical), then kerosene, then 5w-20 or something and then the oil weight I was going to run when I put them back in .. if I remember correctly.

each step it lost a little more crud from inside just coming out on its own

soaked them overnight each step pretty much..

yeah

also be sure not to let anything tdrain when moving them around as it just means all the air has to be forced out again when the engine starts, try to keep from dumping the oil out when you put them in.. not that its likely to make a huge difference i guess

The easier they are to compress, the better.
