What is the difference between 4-1 Headers and 4-2-1 Headers?

4 to 1 headers goes from 4 pipes to 1 pipe. 4 to 2 to 1 headers go from 4 pipes to 2 pipes to 1 pipe (which is susposed to help flow the gasses out from the engine).

The 4-2-1 is less free flowing and basically better for torque and lower end power. The 4-1 is much more free flowing and better for higher end power...depends what your trying to do with your motor, i say screw header and save for future turbo parts, since your gonna have to replace the header with a turbo manifold if your planning on going turbo, your car your choice.

if ur thinking about sound, it really matter more about the supporting mods i.e. intake, exhaust, and what ever else you have under the hood, as for 0-80,really depends if you rather have more power at lower rpm(4-2-1) or higher(4-1)

that is incorrect. 4-2-1 is ment for higher rpm gains. 4-1 in more like the stock one wich is great for lower rpm's. i have a 4-2-1 in my car and i lost a moticeable amount of power in the bottom end but it feel much more faster and agressive in the high rpm band. just thought that i would feed you the right information before you buy the wrong header.

they are both good i am pretty sure that they are both 4-2-1 so they are good for high end power.

best header for 240sx in my opinion is HOTSHOT! harder to find but worth it. noticable low-end power.

this is the same basic design of all the 4-2-1 header found on ebay. the fact is tha it is for better top end not bottom end . i personally own a hotshot header and i lost low end but gained some top end. people have this abit confused but trust me i know.
