Was wondering if anyone who has driven two or more of these vehicles has any opinion on which is the best handling of the vehicles being compared, and second question, which has the most comfortable ride? For the Qs, which generation are you talking about?I have only driven two of the choices, a 2000 Q45T with 67,700 miles on it, and a 1994 J30T with HICAS four wheel steering and 194,400 miles on it. From my very limited sample I would say the J30T handles better, even with worn out shocks, but the Q45T has a more comfortable ride. Any other opinions?

The only other Infiniti's I've driven have been service loaners. They include an '02 q45, quick but drove like a luxo barge, in hard cornering you got suspension squat and pitch and roll. A 1999 I30, which was quick and comfortable, but because of its front wheel drive layout you got a lot of understeer and the car felt heavy and a 2000 G20t, this car actually suprised me with its handling, probably because it was fine tuned in Europe. The car came close to my J. Mid range power was lacking (I think that was the fault of the 4 speed auto trans) and there was understeer(again because of fwd). I also drove a 1996 G20, nothing to write home about. I still prefer my J.

In the handling department, I think (I am no PRO driver) our J's suspension is tunned to the best compromise between comfort and performance.

I drove my friend's 2000 BMW 330CI with 70k miles (same as my J), my friend and I agreed that my J came REALLY CLOSE in the handling department. My friend was really impressed with the FIRM but COMFORTABLE ride. He never expected that my J would give him the "connected to the road" feeling.

That might be because my J jas has totally new suspension (all new suspension links + tie rods + tension rods + shocks + structs ).

I have worked for/work for a bunch of different auto manufacturers throughout my career. I do get an opportunity to drive other vehicles sometimes on closed courses. The cars that I've driven that equal or surpass the handling of my J30t are:

-First gen CTS-V-Saab 92x Aero (which is really a refined Subaru WRX STI)-Audi Rs6-Mazda Rx8 (the ride can be a little firm-I wouldn't take it on a cross country trip)-Chrysler Crossfire (which is basically a Mercedes R170 platform SLK-too bad about the interior!!!)-Mini Cooper (only drove the first gen).-Pontiac Solstice GXP(too bad for the lack of cargo space).-Dodge Charger SRT8 (only at high speeds, the steering is overboosted at normal driving speed. Again too bad about the interior. The old Mercedes chassis does shine through though).-Pontiac G8 GT.
