Which GA16 pistons? And QG18 swap

So the 94+ GA16DE's only had one compression ring. Would this make the piston stronger, or would I be smart to swap older pistons in for my turbo plans. Also, how hard would it be to swap a QG18DE into a 89 sentra? I assume it would be the wiring that would be the hard part?
