Great answer!joe603 wrote:

Jack up the rear wheels of your car, and turn one of your rear wheels. If you have open differential, your wheels will spin in opposite direction (make sure you are in Park or 1st gear). With LSD, they will spin in the same direction.Sentientbydesign wrote:Is there any way of confirming LSD on a coupe? Other than turning VDC off and trying to do doughnuts?
Yep.... YOU GOT IT!Kenrik wrote:I have a 2003 6MT Brembo Coupe that had the stock 18inch wheels when I bought it.
LSD>> ???
ALL G35s have the SLIP Light..Jacko3 wrote:Mine is a 2007 Coupe with RAS, VDC, and LSD. Only way I could tell without jacking up the car is that in the rain, at very high take-off or with enough torque, the LSD light on the dash board starts blinking very fast as your tires spin on the wet ground. If you don't see that blink on take off with spinning wheels then you do not have a LSD. The blink is different from the gear shift light that blinks when the car requyires you to shift.
The other interesting technology is the Rear Active Steer (RAS). I have found the use of the VDC useless on curves, with the RAS. The RAs and VDC together makes the need for an after market sway bar not really important. The RAs really works like magic. It holds the rear of the car tightly in place. However, becasue of this, an alignment of the tires every 15,000 miles is a must in order to ensure that your tires are not wearing away on one side than the other, due to the effect of the curves.

I didn't know our G's came with LSD, where is it hidden????
Does it mean that FS6R31A RC35. is not viscous limited slip. Mine is with A. what this A means?RED_DET wrote:I looked at the vin/engine/transaxle code under the hood on the pass side in front of the battery. I have VLSD and the code reads FS6R31 R35. Look on the car and write down the transaxle code. I will try to get one of the others on here that don't have a vlsd to confirm the numbers.
