Alright, I'm not as freaked out today as I was last night, assuming that all I did was blow a fuse. The only light that do NOT work are the map lights and overhead dome light as far as I can tell. The radio, instrumentation lights, key light, shifter light, etc. are all working. I'm assuming I blew a fuse by trying to install the LED bulb in the driver side map light. I opened up the fuse panel on the lower side left side by the steering wheel and have read the diagram on the back panel. I don't see a fuse for the map lights/overhead light. Does anyone know what fuse I should replace for these lights?

Is changing a fuse easier than changing the bulb? LOL Is it just a matter of pulling out the blown fuse and putting in the new one? Does the battery have to be disconnected before replacing?

I've decided to try and find the correct bulbs for the 2 map lights. I know someone said I could use the bullet style bulb that someone else on here told me to order, but I'm much more comfortable with using the original wedge style bulb in blue. Do these have to be ordered online or is there a place that will sell blue leds locally? O'Reilly? Autozone, etc?

As for the bullet style led bulb lost in my roof somewhere....I don't know what to do. I drove around the block last night and I could hear it rolling around. I was able to get my fingers on it, but not enough to fish it back out. I'm considering just leaving it wherever it is since I now have 2 extra bullet style bulbs.

So today's lesson will hopefully be "how to change a fuse"

Thanks!!!!

Tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes, based on a suggestion I read in another Nissan forum. Did that, and reattached, but still no lights(courtesy/map lights and overhead dome light)...and maybe the key light by the ignition...couldn't tell as it's daylight, but I don't think that's coming on either.

Does anyone know which fuse I need to replace? Anyone? Please? I'm hoping it's the fuse, otherwise its something far more serious.

I'm not sure 100% but it's probably one of those that located under the dash where you can see a small handle next to the control dash like traction control and awd lock. Pull it out and you will see 2 fuses 10A elec. parts. Check the diagram on the back of the cover for exact location.

Thanks Leo. I got into the fuse box, but didn't know what fuse it was. After doing more research online, I tried the fuse marked BMI(or something like that...can't remember the initals)...that was it. It was definitely blown. Drove on over to O'reilly's and got a new fuse, plus 2 wedge type bulbs colored blue that fit exactly. Will order the wedge type LED's later on, b/c the blue colored bulbs don't put off much light. I also got the bullet type bulb installed in the overhead dome light and now that is working too. Much brighter than the blue colored bulbs btw.

Only thing still amiss is the first bullet type LED bulb is still M.I.A. in between my roof somewhere. When driving to the store I could hear it sliding around. I can't seem to figure a way to get that sucker out. It's annoying, but when the GF gets home and has time to take a look, maybe she'll be able to figure out a way to get it out. Very odd problem, I know.

Thanks for all the great tips and advice....this has definitely been a learning experience
