which engine to swap for a 99 nissan maxima
i have a 99 nissan maxima and want to swap it but dont know which engine to swap it with?anyone have any suggestions.

Really, there's no "easy" swap. No engine out there is a simple drop-in affair.You could go with a VQ35. You could also try something more outrageous like a FWD Northstar V8 from a '90s Cadillac (something I would love to do).
Unless you're doing this strictly for the rareness factor and you have the tools, time, and knowledge to devote to the project, you're better off looking into making your existing engine more powerful rather than replacing it.

Great post!!
i was hoping to swap my 3.0L for a VQ35 when my car hits around 200K...but for the meantime, a few performance pieces makes it more fun to drive!!
the Northstar V8 cad motor is a blessing to the more extreme FWD owners and builders...and involves more mods to the car.
if you want something more easy go with the VQ35 swap.if you want somehting more challenging and different, drop a NorthstarV8.

yeah i was looking for a 99 for cheap do u know anyone? sellin it for under 3500?
