so im starting to plan out what i want to do with my car once winter comes and goes. one of the main problems im having is choosing an engine. i currently have a ka24e. has low miles but the cost of boosting it and making it reliable for daily use will be about the same as a redtop. so why not go with the redtop? well a few reasons. i plan on the car to be my daily driver as well as entering in the occasional drift event. so if something breaks or goes i cant just run up to the parts store for the most part and order something. plus turbos arent linear as far as power. ive read and seen people putting ls1/2 engines in. and im leaning towards that but they are still quite expensive including the swapping kit. has anyone done a small block 350? i have never seen a ls engine next to a 350 as far as dimension wise. would the stop subframe work with either 350 or LS? and what do people do as far as wiring, are there any charts or write ups concerning this? im open to other options as far as engines. ive thought about using a 350Z engine but have read they are rather wide.

thanks in advance and sorry if this is a noobish question.

after some more searching i came across the 1uz. seams to be a "narrower" engine and has good power output. how difficult will wiring be? im not worried about anything else as far as mounts or driveshafts.
