if you do a sr20det motor swap, stay away from the gti-r. working on it is a nightmare and getting parts for it is even harder. i wated 8 months for valve stem seals. sure they make stupid horsepower, i made 424whp on a completely stock motor and just a small t3t4.
if you decide to get a det go with a avenir or a bluebird motor. they sahre alot of common partw with the u.s. spec sr20's and make them easier and cheaper in the end.
