Hi i'm new to this forum. I have a gsr integra and hoping to sell it and go the nissan route (i've seen the light).

My question is does would the s13 or s14 be better to boost? Which one would respond better to uping the boost? Thank you in advance.

S14 has a better turbo...

S14 is Low Port Head flow

S13 is high port

sr20det wont pass visual inspection part of smog testing in cali.

You would think high port would be better, as it would allow a better flow path into the cylinder. But then again if you really knew what you were doing and ported the low port just right, you might actually be able to get a better swirl effect and a better overall quality of combustion. I dunno for sure but i still say high port!

the only way to get it passed emisions is to have a friend on the inside, bribe the emissions tester or ive heard you can put stuff in your gas and set it up special for when your gonna get it tested?

the only good thing about living in wisconsin is that if your car is registered in madison you dont have any emissions!!!!

get the s13. you pay too much for the s14 and pretty much all you get that is different in the VTC and a better turbo

Get an s13 get cams and a turbo upgrade and you will probably be better off...

anyone in here from cali have an sr20det that have run into problems or have been caught? I've been reading a lot about how it's illegal etc. etc. But has anyone ever experienced smog inspections and/or been caught? And if so did you get around it?

I'm seriously looking into buying a 240 and doing the swap. Thanx in advance!
