Which engine is this?

So I'm planning on buying this 260Z, thing is an amazing deal. The previous owner died in September, and the car is now being sold by his brother. He says his brother was adamant that the engine was from a 280Z. I thought it was interesting that the valve cover says Nissan and not Datsun... I really have no way of knowing, so I figured I'd ask the experts. So which engine is it?

all the cam covers say missan with few exceptionslook the base fo the engine below and forward of the drivers side engine mount, it has a casting code, E30 = 240Z, N42 = 280Z, F54= 280ZX

you can also looks at the base fo the cylinder head below and beside the #2 spark plug, E31=240Z, E88 = 240Z, N42= 280Z, N47=280Z, P79=280ZX, P90=280ZX Turbo

those carbs are 4 screw round tops, found on 71 240Z's, the header is of course aftermarket

it's also got ZX wheels, and the Nissan on the valve cover both lead me to believe it's got a ZX engine in it, likely a 79-81. Only the casting #'s will tell you for sure tho. Z looks like it's in decent shape..

Oh Brake fluid looks low, caution driving like that...

On the brake fluid being low front, the seller says the e-brake isn't working right now. Could low brake fluid be causing that?

no, the brake fluid has nothgin to do with the e brake, most likely a siezed cable or lever
