what kind of ECU would you choose to puchase?

I have a redtop SR20DET with very limited modifications currently and in the future I am going to do some major upgrades I only got the car and engine about 3weeks ago now so I don't have the money to do so now, but I am compiling a list of parts that I wish to get in the future.

it would also be helpful if you were able to link me up to sites that have any of the ECUs that you recommend

Although sort of expensive, the apexi power fc has a lot of tunability and its less then standalone ecus. I would look into that if i were you. And i would if i was me...( i want one)

I have a microtech LTx-8. stand alone and comes with ecu, wire harness and hand controller (optional), but recommended. No more hassle with MAF's. and the old harness You can also tune it with a laptop. prices are around $1000. http://www.microtechefi.com http://www.centralfloridaturbo.com

Well I have the microtech in my car so I would have to choose microtech. But the power FC is good also. some just buy the power FC because i think the tuners have more experience with it. but a good tuner can work with all. upgrade with these stand alone's is unlimited hp. My car is also a daily driver. but I will also be going to the track. With piggyback you are limited to a certain hp level (I think). I'm from the carribean, a very small island. and we just now are getting some experience with the microtech and halltech. we don't have dyno's to fine tune so it's all about knowledge and feeling. But as soon as my car is running I will let you know how the microtch is doing on the SR20DET. a friend of mine as one on a CA18DET with a T3/T04 turbo and it's doing great. it did a 12.8 1/4 mile on street tires. So if you're going with the T3/T4 better go stand alone, if you're on a budget re-map the ecu
