Hey guys! Long story short, I have a spare KA that I am planning on building for boost. So I've been looking around on connecting rod options and I have three choices. I know Eagle and BC are good and all but what about Manley? I want something that I can rely on to handle the pressure/the revs. I only plan on getting ~400whp but maybe if I feel the need to up the boost which would be a better option? Leave your guys choices and experiences, if you guys have any! Thanks guys!

I run eagle and know a few guys that run crowers. Find something in your price range and don't think about it too much

Since I am in the middle of gathering parts for my build as well. I went with eagle rods only bc of all the options of other on nico and my buddy as used eagle in his rides as well. But when it comes down to it the choice is yours and yours alone.

I agree. I have K1 rods and I would confidently run 400whp on them. Not a bad price either

Eagle $300 rods are supposed to be made out of a special alloy that can handle up to 800hp.

A lot of the rods strength comes strictly from it's design. The factory rods have consistently held up to 400 ft lbs of torque. That's assuming you have proper lube and no detonation.

When manufacturers redesign the rod, they usually use a solid forged billet with a better design, h-beam being the strongest iirc. But ALL of them are better than stock and all of them will support the power goals of pretty much all of us. Unless you're building a dyno queen.

D-UNIT, Love your sig bro!
