This is for a s13 hatch. I just want a good setup not a record holder or anything. I keep looking around and i can decide witch company to go with. I want everything from the same company(but HU dont matter). I am looking for 6.5 front, 4x6 in the back, one 10" or maybe maybe 12" and 1 mono amp. There are four companys that i cant decide Audiobahn, Pioneer, Infinity, or MTX. Witch company would yall go with plz help me decide. Or if theres another company that I should look at plz let me know (just not alpine I have that set up in my other car).

I would go for a Pioneer headunit as they are incredable headunits with plenty of features. I would then go with Infinity Reference series 6-1/2" components (model 6010cs) for the front and Infinity Reference series 4x6 2-way plates (model 6412cfp) for the rear. Infinity reference series speakers are excellent for the price that give you highly detailed highs and mids. I've had Infinity reference series speakers in every car I have owned for the past 8 years. For an amp I would chose an Infinity Reference 5761a. It is a 6-channel amp with power output of 56 watts RMS x 4 + 107 watts RMS x 2. You could bridge the two 107 watt channels into one 287 watt RMS channel to power your sub. In the past I have owned both Infinity and Pioneer subs, but I feel that Pioneer Premere subs are far superior. I still have a 5 year old Pioneer Premere 12" sub kickin around that still sounds as incredible as the day I bought it. I once had an Infinity Kappa Perfect 12" sub powered off of a Kenwood 300watt RMS amp and it just didn't get very loud nor did it sound clean. The Pioneer Premere 12" sub powered off of the same Kenwood amp is amazingly clear and powerful.

I suggest before you make any purchases, go to a few car stereo shops and listen to the actual products, not the hype that the salesman will be pushing.

First of all, I do not recommend going with all one manufacturer. If I had to though, I would go with Eclipse. Pioneer cd players are hit or miss with their build quality, but their reliability is good. MTX has great amps and subs. Infinity has good highs/mids. I would say that I like the sound of Eclipse highs/mids better. I have Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.5 components right now and I liked my Eclipse components better. I am a big fan of soft dome tweeters though (Eclipse has soft dome tweeters).

Eclipse is about the only company that I would trust 100% for all around high performance. Remember to get some sound dampening for your doors too.

I'm partial to MTX. They have a new line of products that are really great! All of their speakers have high efficiency (90db+) so they will be louder than most. Check out their website; it has comparisons to high end brands (MB Quart/Focal). Also their subs are some of the toughest/loudest in the business. Go to a dealer, and listen for yourself!

all that has been said earlier (eclipse, pioneer, infinity). i also like JL, have only witnessed their subs in action, but they sound great. i used to have 2 15's in a sealed box that were very loud and clean, great response (accuracy) from 15's (the sealed box helped i'm sure). infinity components or coaxials could use more bass, but since you are planning on a sub you won't miss it. and they do have excellent highs and mids. i have some in my cavalier 4x6 plates in the front and 6x9's in the rear deck. the .5 (latest model kappas i beleive). paid an arm and a leg for them though. i also just purchased an eclipse deck for my s13, THD is like 8 thousanths of a percent (the best i've ever seen), also has a 5 volt output (more expensive ones have 8 volt). i won't be adding an amps though. i also though it was really cool that if it was stolen within the first year eclipse would send me a new one for free! and whoever steals it won't be able to use it (there is a feature that allows you to program a cd which you will need to put into the player once the battery is disconnected before you can use the deck) hehehe.

only beef i have with it is the HPF can only be set to 100hz (50 would be great)

Sinse you didn't give a price range, i'm going to go to the extreme.

Focal. Everything from focal, even the sub(yes, they make them). The HU from Nakamichi, oh and amps from nakamichi also.

Please just forget about audiobahn. They absolutely suck

NOw, back in reality i'd recommend that you use a hifonics amp for the sub(s).

Price no object...

Morel Supremo highs/mids/midbass

Denon DCT-1 headunit [JDM only]

TRU technology amps (maybe Mcintosh)

Audiocontrol line drivers and eq

Image Dynamics IDMAX 12s

(If I were allowed to go crazy, I would tear down a set of B&W "Nautilus" speakers. they are about $40,000 for the pair.)

lol thanks. But I wanted to go with every thing the same. Sorry I didnt give a price range I dont want nothing crazy just a nice sounding system not a DB holder. Its more of a track, weeken, late night cruzer, and some times DD. But I have always had a system so thats why im going with 1 10" that will take the lest amount of CF. I put down audiobahn because I saw that 1 of there 10" subs only needed .25CF plus there really cheap. But then again the infitiy ref series plus a pioneer deck is probley the one I will go with but still not 100% sure yet. Also has anyone ever bought anything from http://69.93.14.227/ (woofersEtc.com) im thinking of buying everything from there because there a member of the BBB.

Reasonable budget...

Amps: I like MTX. I have an old 2300x that works great for 1 or 2 subs.

Subs: Buy a raw driver from SVS and build your own box

120+hz: I like Infinity, Polk, MB Quart, Boston Accoustics. I perfer soft domes.

Head Unit: Up to you.
