I need opinions on which color wheels to get for my car. I'm getting them for my b-day/gradutaion and need to decide soon while shipping is free. I'm set on the 5zigen FN-01R 17x8 in front and 17x9 in back. The only thing that i cant decide on is the color silver, hyperblack, bronze. right now im leaning towards hyperblack.

scroll down the page a lil bit. and if anyone could help with what offset to get would be nice. i have kyb gr-2's (maybe later agx) and dont plan on running coilovers ever and will use the 225f/245r tires is comes with then later go up to 235f/255rWhich color?

bronze would go great with a red car, although hyperblack would look good too. don't go silver. silver is just too 'run of the mill'

Black and gold would both look sick. Tough choice. What color is your interior?

go black it is more apealing to more people then bronze or gold so that if you ever wanted to sell them or your car it would be easier

Bronze with red car is the BEST...and save your stock wheels and tires so if you want to sell it you can put them on your new car :)

I'd go with black then. Just to fit the theme. But even with a black interior bronze would still look sweet.

Dude, those wheels are expensive and weigh a ton, get some rota's which are extremely LIGHT and extremely CHEAP:

http://www.machiii.net/machiii/html/Rota_wheels.html

They have several styles and colors to choose from, with free shipping also....

450$ a set for 15's @ 12lbs,500$ a set for 16's @ 14.5lbs,550$ a set for 17's @ 16 lbs...

If you own a 240, every modification should increase the performance or handling of your car, otherwise, well...im not gonna go there...

those are good prices but any of the wheels that i like only go up to 7.5" wide. the largest tire i could get on those is 245. im goin for the end of the summer to have my KA built and will need wider rims to mount wider tires. i like the rota attacks do u think i would be fine with a 245 sticky tire (for the street) and about 350rwhp once my engine is built?

If 225's fit on a 6.5" no problem, I dont see why tires that are 2 cm wider, 245's, wouldnt fit on a 7.5" rim, (which is 2.54cm's wider).

The only problem with going wider, which most people don't consider is:

A.) Under dry conditions and under nominal HP the car will handle better. B.) Add some rain / snow / too much HP, and the tires will handle worse than stock...

This is due the fact that your tire patch is stretched out horizontally, which is caused by the weight of your vehicle remaining static, (unchanged). This can be corrected with extra downforce, but then you'd have to be going almost 100mph to take advantage of that:

Formula-1 cars can get away with humongoid tires because they have 1.5-2g's of downforce once they're moving. As a matter of fact, you could flip the track upside down, (once they're moving at decent speeds), and formula-1 cars could continue to race...

the car isnt goin to to be driven in rain unless its a sudden downpour and definitly not in the snow. i have a 91 celica for all that. i know that 245's will fit but they will be squeezed on and buldge which wont be too good for handling.
