I have a Coil over plug setup without the ignitor box. Im looking for a replacement COP for my setup, but there is no stateside support. I will be replacing my coils in the near future so I want to see if you guys will post back with what type of COP you have on your Q. Q45's have the only COP that I know that will work. Im not positive just pretty sure. They have the 4 bolt pattern that holds them down and the boot interchanges. Early 90-96 will not work as I have owned these and the bolt in but have an ignitor unit that sits on ea plug cover. My COPs have an ignitor built into them and look almost identical to the non-ignitor type. If someone has the COP out for some reason the numbers on the side near the bottom read:"Hanshin MCP-1330"

So if you know or can point me in the right direction as to where to look for anything similar please post back for me.

Thanks

I believe that early VH45DE had one igniter per bank external to the coilpacks.

You may need to examine the later VH41DE coilpacks.

I believe so too. Ive checked out all the VH45 from 96 back to 90 and they are all the same with the exception that 94-96 had a different ignitor chip style than the earlier ones. Im homing the Y33 platform VH41 owners will post a reply. Ive also seen the VK45 ones. They have the wrong mount and I have no idea if they have an seperate ignitor pack.

90-95 Q need switching transistor [in ignitor] to drive coil. 96 - 2008 Q [OBDII] have switching transistor built into coil assembly and thus no need for ignitor.

So Then I should be looking for a VH41DE coil then. I know the later VK45 has 1 or 2 screws that hold it to the valve cover. This mounting style wont work for mine. There is a good chance the VH will have the same 4/3 screw setup that will work. Anyone have pictures of there VH41DE COP?

Where are they situated is the question

In other words are the bolt holes in the Corners or are they in off the centers?
