My clutch is starting to go and i was wondering what clutch you guys would recommend..I am one of those, "if it is time to replace, it is time to upgrade" type guys...lol I currently have a few mods but i am planning on going KA-T in about 6-8 months so i need something that will hold strong. I was thinking Centerforce Dual Friction...but im not sure. Can i get an Exedy stage 2 or 3 and will it clamp as hard or last as long? I am open for suggestions. I am not a clutch wiz so clue me in. Thanks guys

I should of done what you did, ASK! Anyway, I was told that my Stage 2, 3 puck, Exedy SUCKS... although it grips like a mofo, it has a very limited life due to the clutch not wanting to slip so when it does slip, it wears much much quicker. So the next clutch I'm gonna get is a ACT heavy duty pressure plate with a organic disk. That holds a good amount so boosting won't be a problem. I plan to get mine from http://www.phase2motortrend.com. Well, there you go. No puck clutches unless you only track your car... not street.

If you want longevity, do not get a puck clutch.

I installed a SpecII early this year and so far it works and feels pretty close to stock. I will let you know how well it works with the the new turbo in a few weeks.

Please help yourself by conducting a search. You'll find threads with reviews for just about every brand of clutch available for the s13. There's just about a bad 'story' about every clutch brand out there. Some people have had success with Centerforces, while a vast majority say they suck. And even with a reputable brand like ACT, there are posts on this site you can find about people who have had 'issues' with them.

My .02 cents: Look up RPS clutches, they have a rock-solid reputation with Supra owners and turbo DSM owners. Phase2motortrend is even selling them now, and it's the clutch i plan to go with when i finally breakdown and buy one.
