Quote »turbo is a t3/t04E, 63 turbine housing and 50 compr. housing
If you are planning on streeting this thing, look for boost to come in at around 4000ish rpm and at 20-23 psi you should be very well close to 400hp with this motor.

the bottom end should be able to withstand the abuse, and i do believe that you will have to swap out the bell housing on the transmission to use a clutch by one of those companies. spec makes clutches for the ca, id try them out.

Actually if you get creative with a dremel you can use a KA24DE clutch from ACT. That is the clutch that we used in the CA swap that we did.

SPEC Stage 3 Kit (good for 350lbs ~ 400whp if broken in properly, and thats what i'll be using) from enjunkuracing.com or spec themselves or any reseller of SPEC clutches..

here is the email i just got from Enjunku Racing

Quote » I would have to say since the stage 3 will hold up to 350 lb/ft torque, you may eventually need a stage 5 which holds up to 500 lb/ft. It all depends on how harsh of a clutch you prefer. Also you can choose between a 6 puck or a 4 puck disk for the stage 3 clutch kit. The stage 3 will run you about $349 and the stage 5 will run about $429.
Yea, you can take the time to dremel out the KA pressure plate, and overpay for an ACT clutch kit and have it rebalanced to avoid any future damage, OR you can order a SPEC clutch designed for the CA18DET, and will hold much more power.

SPEC Stage 3 is much more streetable than the ACT equivelent and will hold the power.

I have driven many Stage 3 setups and I would have to say nothing comes close to how easy it is to drive.

The stage 3 is sprung, and 4 is unsprung. Even a stage 5 has an insanely light pedal pressure.
