Which cars & years have this engine?

I'm looking for a KA24DE Engine, and I need to know which vehicles to refer to say which cars have this engine, I can't just put KA24DE cuz not everyone would know if they have that ir not, I know a 91-94 240sx has it, and also a 93-?? (94 at least) also has it. any help asap is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Well the KA24DE engine came in all of the 240sx's released in America so all years the car was sold in the U.S ('89 -98 I think but in case I'm wrong the KA is definitely in the years '90 - '98) have the KA24DE

89-90 had the ka24e(singlecam) 91-98 240's have them, 96 up is obd2, 95 is kinda too. most people do know what motor they have, on here at least, so u can just say u want a ka24de.

I'm putting it in a Buy n Sell ad therefore; not everyone would know the engine they have, So, what cars have the exact engine I need, no obd2 or nothing, one that will fit in without any major problems. thank you

Hold on, what exactly is obd2? and how would this affect anything, sorry, I'm young and don't know a lot about Nissans, but I'm defenitely willing to learn.

OBD2 is a coding system used w/ check engine lights (right?) lol just search b/c the ka24de's have some differences... why are you askin about it? selling or buying?

just a hit-- the 91 ka24de have slightly bigger cams

I'm buying, I found one shop with the exact same engine (came out of a 92) with a 3 month warranty. I want to buy it but I'm $70 short and I dont know if they would drop that far, because it is a car recycler that has it, not just some guy that has one sitting in his backyard or garage. So I want to know where else I could find an engine in case this on sells by the time I have the money, all the money I'm making now is allowance , seeing as summer is over, i spent my summer job money on the car and still have left over for the engine, so I need this last little bit and I'm set

offer them what you got. i picked up an extra ka and parts for a combined $75. if they are a recycler then they probly wont sell it anytime soon... if you have cash in hand i doubt theyll pass your offer

ok, I went to a recycler, and got a working KA24DE out of a 92! but it set me back $769 canadian, and I had to borrow some of that so now I'm in debt , but at leats I have an engine, took mine out this morning, putting in the new one in 2 weeks, btw I also got a 2 month warranty. Any tips for when I install it?

no not 90. 90 was the ka24e. and the altima was fwd so there are some differences, and the stanza only offered the ka24e also.

Yeah, I was thinking of the KA in general. Only 91-94' had the KA24DE and the 95-98' years.

The KA24E was a SOHC 3-valve engine produced from July, 1988 through January, 1996.

It is used in the following vehicles:

The 2.4 L (2389 cc) KA24DE was used in many Nissan cars and trucks and was built in Aguascalientes, Mexico. It is a basic DOHC 4-valve engine producing 140 to 155 hp (104 to 115 kW) and 154 to 160 ft·lb (208 to 216 Nm). Bore is 89 mm and stroke is 96 mm. It has an cast iron engine block and aluminum DOHC cylinder heads. It uses SFI fuel injection, has 4 valves per cylinder with bucket tappets and features forged steel connecting rods, a one-piece cast camshaft, and a cast aluminum intake manifold.

It is used in the following vehicles:

I believe the KA24DE was Electric Fuel Injection, not sure bit I think....
