(yes this car is my wife and I 's FUN = fast car) How does a coupe xs handle is it faster / better than the sedan? Are the g37 TWD bad in the snow ? HEP!!!Patrick

The difference between the coupe and sedan is mostly style. The sedan is actually a bit lighter than the coupe. It all depends on which looks better to you and how much you value the sedan's extra doors.

The all wheel drive models have better traction than the rear drive ones. This is true all year round, not just in the winter. Coming out of a corner, you can apply more power with all wheel drive than you can with rear drive. When starting out on sandy pavement, all wheel drive hooks up better than rear drive. If you insist on a manual transmission, you will have to take rear wheel drive. The all wheel drive models only come with automatic transmissions.

The all wheel drive models come with all season tires. In urban areas, where snow is plowed promptly, I think they would be sufficient. The rear drive S model comes with high performance summer tires which are worthless on ice and snow. I think you could get by with it in urban areas provided you have snow tires. A set of Bridgestone Blizzak or Michelin Ice on an extra set of wheels costs about $2k. In rural areas, you should have all wheel drive and snow tires and be careful not to get high centered in deep snow.

In your position, I would go with a G37X coupe with premium and navigation packages, maybe the sport package, but definitely not the technology package. Splash guards are a good investment since they provide protection without looking ugly.

Well put Kendahl!
I would def go with an X for snow traction.
Also, I feel it's a safer car in wet weather as well.
The X was recently ran against a non-X and posted better times in wet and dry slalom.
As far as the S goes, you need to see if you like the S seats.
Some do and some don't. I think that the sport seats in the S Coupe are more comphy than the sport seats in the sedan.
But, not as comphy as the non-sport seats.
But, then again I'm order than most members here. :gapteeth:

Year round + wife's car + snow = get AWD!

This is the same formula I used when we were shopping for my wifes car, lol.

See the July issue of Consumer Reports for their comments on the G25 and the G37

Me, I'd go for ther G37 six speed manual and stay home when it snows :)
