which cam is which? ka24de

i have a 93 240sx with ka24de dohc in it. the cams were removed from the car, the machine shop is telling me the green cam is intake, red or tan cam is the exhust. the redish cam has a 1 cast on it, the green has a 2. any idea which cam is the intake and which one is the exhaust?

oh yeah..the car runs like ****. right now, but it ran great before pulling the cams....grr.

i cant help here, but why the **** would you take your car to a place where they dont know which cam is used for what? thats the worst thing i've ever of someone doing.

I believe, that is I have not mixed them up before, that the int. cam has a green paint band and the dowel pin is lined up with the cam lobes on #1 cylinder and the ex. cam has a yellow paint band and the dowel pin is before the #1 lobe. The dowel is the pin for the cam gear. Some of the cams are marked on the shoulder of the boss that the cam gear bolts too.
