I came across two types of Bull bar selling on Ebay. Which one do you like? I personally like the first one better.

First

Second

Now I just need to see how it looks with license plate and chrome grill.

I like the first one. But those bascially the same. You forgot the angled version too.

Personally I like the rectanglar one!

i like the first one a lot. I have also been considering putting one on my car. Is this something that can be self-installed? or is it better to play it safe and get it professionally done?

The first one is not bad, it seems to integrate into the lines of the car fairly well, I don't think the large ones that stick out like a sore thumb look good on the Rogue, these are more suited to trucks and boxy SUV's, in my opinion.

On a related note: I do like the side steps, so I installed a set on my Rogue and have been happy except for their winter performance. They collect all the snow and crap and make your pants dirty when you get in and out. I drive around with big blocks of ice handing from them all winter, they look terrible. Also, I noticed they've been taking a beating, getting roughed up and somewhat pitted already from all the road sand and gravel shooting to the back part where it curves into the vehicle. Hopefully some chrome polish will bring them back but harsh winters really don't work well with these stainless bars, in my experience. My advice is use them only in warmer climates.

I am planning to get the black bullbars. Reason is because somebody recently bump my front end. Of course they couldnt just drive out of the parking lot like a normal person. Anyways, I usually get all my damage in the parking lots when my Rogue is all innocent and keeping to itself.

Good for you Kerrton, finally got the nerf bars. I love that look on the Rogue. But I chose the Black Powdered because I feared the Chrome is over-used and I wanted to be different. I also feared the Chrome would be a higher upkeep and it more prone to getting pitted and scuffed up like you said. Which is another reason I got the Black. Plus, it not so overt and obvious with the dark color and the indigo blue.

It easy to fixed any marks. I usually use a permanent marker to make it new again. And if needed, I can spray paint or brush it with black paint. I got a black powdered tube bumper protector waiting to install in warm weather. Only reason I am getting that is because they offered a black coated which does not make it as obvious on my dark indigo blue rogue. Next the black bull bars one day. Mind you, I use them for parking lot protection and appearance mostly. Never really had a hard time with dirty nerf bars during the blizzards and I easily washed the salt and sand off the black nerf bars.

x2

The first one flows really well with the car. I'd go with that one for it.
