I've been searching all morning and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. My 2003 QX4 has 77,000 miles and I think it's time to change all the hoses and belts on the truck. I bought the truck 10,000 miles ago and I have a feeling these are all original belts and hoses.

Can someone tell me exactly which hoses and belts should be replaced?

Also, can Pathfinder belts and hoses be used on my QX4? I'm guessing yes but I just want to make sure.

Also, where is the best place to buy these parts? I'd like to buy OEM. Is there an online dealer that sells items for our trucks at a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Marc

There are only 2 belts(not counting the one around your waist). Replace both of them. Hoses are probably fine, but a good place to start are the upper and and lower radiator hoses.

I did my 2001 at 55,000 miles (in 2010) and I can say they were severly cracked and I couldn't believe I was driving around on them (How I missed checking them before I have no idea, maybe I figured low miles no problem...but AGE and heat is the killer here). They were EASY and cheap to replace. Everything else was in good condition.

I just ordered new ones for my 01 with 125k. Mine are original. The multi ribbed belts always get small cracks on the underside so its not always a good indication. I got mine online from a Nissan dealer for less than $20.00 each. I bet your hoses are fine but the only way to tell is to have a look - has the coolant ever been changed. If you live in a hot climate they will not last as long.

Make sure the tension is correct on the new belts and you use the correct coolant whatever you do

Thanks for the replies everybody.

I think I will look into changing the coolant because that probably hasn't been changed in a while.

I guess the hoses and belts are OK for now.
