i just bought ACL race main + rod bearings for 175 bucks shipped.

another set that i was interested in was the Cosworth bearings.

i searched and couldnt find anyone who has tried them out yet, but according to their site they are good up to 1000hp. and they are roughly the same price as the ACL. just sumthin to think about

just ordered a set of acl race main, rods n thrusts for 105.00 shipped to me next day from titan motor sports in orlando next day, idk why you were charged 175 shipped??? you could of ordered them for 110-130 shipped of ebay....

and for the person who added their bearings to the for sale thread, why would i want bearings you already removed from the wrap, touched, scared and removed from your motor for 'measurements' sorry but thats a no go ghost rider

sorry but i wouldnt think about buying "used" bearings

any reason to spend what ever your asking for bearings already installed when i could get bnib ones for 105.00 to my door?

sorry not trying to be a @ss but im not going to cheap out on a hundred buck set of bearings to save 20-30 bucks.....

sorry im not a cheap @ss

Titan doesn't list their RB bearings, when I bought mine I paid $175 like everybody else, and their not really used. They were install without the crank and measured. I like to be over critical of thing I sell. Why the separate thrush washers now?

I was looking at the sets on ebay after you said you used ACL mains and rods and thrusts on your last build. The thrust came as part of the mains in both sets of ACLs I've ordered. What's the purpose of getting them separate?

nismo bearings are the only ones i've used and i haven't had any problems. theres something about them being offered in all the OEM sizes (6?) that makes it feel more precise to me. ACLs are offered in 3. probably no big deal as you can still stay within spec but if you're picky about the tolerances and don't want to compensate with machining, oem or nismo has the best size selection imo

The b**** with going aftermarket like ACL like gawdzilla mentioned is you can only buy a set of a certain kind.

So from what i understand if you look at the grades that were used in your engine and they aren't all standard (ie theyre a spread of different grades), then you have to buy one size oversize and get your crank ground to the proper clearance.

Thrust arent bearings, its a washer...

And so what is wrong with bearings that have just been set in place for measurement? If they have never been started or really instand in the motor?

Its the same thing you are doing with your motor, as long as the motor was never started...its not like they bend or take shape of anything...they just get placed in, then measured on the crank to see the clearance....

But to answer your question, I would choose ACL or clevite.

yes, know that

for 105.00 im going to buy a new set of bearings instead of bearings that wount be shipped in the orig package (shrink wrap)

not worth risking a crank to save 25 bucks..
