Hey there, I am having a sort of intellectual dilemma. I have a 1992 240SX Coupe with a recently converted set of Silvia Headlights. I have the Silvia Center Garnish, but I was thinking about either putting SILVIA on the Rear trim area like a true Sil, the problem though, is that I have a KA and I am turboing it in the next 2 weeks, so should I instead put on SIL40? I just wanted to see what everyone thinks.

Badge it however you want. It's purely an aesthetic choice, put whatever you like best on there. It's not like the Nissan Badging Police will come to your house and arrest you.

For what it's worth, I'd badge it like a Silvia.

Instead of "naming" my car, I kinda decided on making note of the inspiration...see my sig?

I don't want to leave it plain, but it seems that the greater mass of you would rather see SIL40 than just SILVIA. I'm going to tally the vote tomorrow sometime, and then I'll let you know my decision.

Sil40 is a novel idea but it would it look right?

Could always just keep the 240 badging and get the R32 style grill center

SIL40 is mroe unique but I'd rather have the silvia. Though everybody knows that TYPE R will give it the most horsepower though, so I'd say go with that.

IMHO both are lame, becuase no matter how many conversions you do ie headlights, motor, tail lights, etc. it's still going to be a 240.

It's a 240SX, nothing will change that. Why not just keep it at that?

I like 24-VIA, don't know why I like it better, but that's what I call my monstrosity. Guess I like keeping the 2.4 in there. Have the same as you, Silvia front on a coupe and soon to be KA-T. But only badging is a silvia trunk lock, and that was there when I bought it. It has GTR sytle grille.

Personaly i wouldnt put any badging on. I think it looks cleaner that way. But its your car so put what you like. Not what the masses like.

I was in the same boat. But since my car was built a 240SX and I have a motor swap and soon to have a front end conversion, I was leary to make a LHD car built for the American market to be badged as a J-spec car. So I decided that I am getting the "Twin Cam Turbo Intercooler" decal and not to "badge" the car with any name.
